.:: Short Bio
Mario Porrmann is head of the Mediatronics team and leads the development of the RAPTOR2000 rapid prototyping system. His main scientific interests are in on-chip multiprocessor systems, dynamically reconfigurable hardware and resource-efficient architectures for network components. Mario Porrmann is currently leading a project on dynamically reconfigurable hardware within the Collaborative Research Centre SFB614 (Self-optimizing Concepts and Structures in Mechanical Engineering). He is responsible for three projects on on-chip multiprocessors for network applications, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), a project on the design of components for high-speed communication, funded by the European Union and several national projects funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and by industrial partners.
